PacificCorp's 520 MW Natural Gas fired combined cycle power plant on about 25 acres. Enough reliable 24/7 power for about 140,000 average homes. Compare to a "wind farm": BP's Flat Ridge 1 & Flat Ridge 2 wind farms, both spanning over > 70,000 acres < these two farms have 314 turbines with the capacity to generate 520 MW - but they DON'T ~ Nameplate capacity does not equal net generation!!
