The library should support the local community. Why has the library been redesigned with big office for support staff? Why was this library renovated to support office staff (only). This library is not a good reflection of the local community. The local community needs the library to support local teenagers to find work and career path information. The library doesn't benefit the home owners in the local community. Home owners pay taxes to have local library in community to support their family and business needs. Where is the value in a library that doesn't support the local community that pay taxes to renovated library. Local community members have been pushed out of Olivia Raney library. The library should offer a environment where college bound can get information. The office space where staff is should be setup for laptops and design 2021.

Okay, when I see was in school... Way back when... I used to do my research there for term papers and such. Well last of what I knew of the building, was that it became the headquarters for a believe was the department of Transportation. It was going strong, some 20 + years ago. .

This historic library is a great place. Internet spees is great, they have a lot of accessible computers to use if you dont have your own. They give you hours of time to use them instead of kicking you off after an hour. They're attached to the oak view historic park which is great! Staff are friendly and the best part is, they make sure it stays quiet in there so people can concentrate.

This is the Wake County Library System's local history unit. They may specialize in NC Civil War research but are loaded with great books, excellent librarians and staff, excellent and helpful programs. Let family know you are visiting so they know where to look for you! Time flies in such a wonderful resource!!! Fyi currently closed for renovations, til ~ june 2020. Check website for updates.
