"Support local businesses! Knowledgeable, helpful and cool staff. They take time to figure out what you need. I also appreciate the fact that they don't try to constantly upsell."
"I’m not a regular here by any means but I’ve been going to Old Town for a few years. I can deal with the pretentiousness and the hard sell sometimes, whatever, it’s not unique to them. I recently bought a (f’ng awesome) Mascis Jazzmaster there which left a pretty bad taste but both the sales guy and myself knew it was a sale. Again, whatever that’s the game, but it irked me enough to check a Franken-strat I bought years ago. The tag said it was a Warmoth neck with American pickups and after pulling the neck today, it is not a Warmoth neck. There are no markings of any kind and I’m going to guess the pickups aren’t legit either. Am I happy with the products I’ve purchased? Yes because I knew what I was looking for and got what I wanted out of them. There are other options in town and online so I go elsewhere but something needed to be said about the Strat being misrepresented."
"Great little corner shop with friendly knowledgeable staff. Picked up a nice fender stratocaster for a good price."
"Wouldn't recommend this place for guitar setups. Told a buddy of mine to get his new strat set up here and to ask for low action. He got it back (took 2 weeks) and I was surprised how bad the setup was. Action was so high the guitar was unplayable to me. Actually reminded me of my very first guitar, a Squire without a setup straight out of the box from Guitar Center in . Impossible to barre. I told him to take it back and demand a better setup, but he's soft and didn't want to wait. He was bummed, I was bummed but I found another guy who's great. Live and learn!"
"Shopping here was such a pleasant experience! They let me take my time and play a bunch of different pedals and just wonder around the store without constantly checking on me. They trust me and trust them, % recommend!!"
