"Avoid this place at all costs! Owner, Denise, stole $ from me. I had put down what she said was a "monthly deposit" ,agreed at $ a month, to hold the apartment on her farm for 4 months. I started to get a bad feeling from her shortly after. I ended up no longer wanting the apartment about 3 weeks later and asked for the future 3 months (this March, April, and May, ) of the monthly fee back. She replied basically saying she assumed I knew it was non-refundable (she never mentioned this) and there is a homeless person living in the apartment currently that she can't kick out?!! Literally also said she's a farm and this is customary in the horse business. Well I hate to break it to you but farms are businesses too, and if bad business practices are "customary" then something is wrong. Granted, maybe I should have seen the red flag that she had no written lease or contract for the apartment. But wow, did not expect it to be this bad."
