"I've been coming to this Office Depot for years, and I never had the problems that I've experienced lately. Something has happened to this place. New owner? New manager? I don't know, but the customer service is inexcusably poor. I went in once and the "manager" started shouting at customers that if they wanted faster service, they needed to spend their " cents at the self-service copiers." This was a very rude and unprofessional thing to say. If customers could have used the copiers, don't you think they would have? The following incident tested my patience so deeply that I determined that it was not worth it anymore to do my business there: I went to get copies made and signed in as usual. A text arrived stating a - minute wait. I immediately knew that this trip was going to be bad. A female employee at the print center was laughing and chatting with two customers who were waiting on their print job. Not that I had a problem with the friendly banter, but when you have a line four people deep, socializing with customers is inappropriate. A male employee was popping in and out in the area, helping no one in line. So I went for assistance at the front register where another young lady walked me to the self-serve area. As my device would not work on their printer, I expressed that I was frustrated by the socializing and the wait time in the store. To my shock, she went and told the employees in the print center what I said. What happened after that almost made me lose it! The "friendly" employee grabbed her pizza from under the counter and went on break. A male employee took care of the customer ahead of me and then went outside to "wait on someone." Finally, the friendly employee returned some time later, apologized for the wait, and assisted me. The male employee came back inside and started helping. In the meantime, three more people signed in for service at the print center, and we're all looking at each other, shaking our heads. This is ridiculous. People in this area deserve better. Just to compare, for my next print job, I went 5 MINUTES down the road to FEDEX in Cedar Hill, and ONE employee handled an entire store by herself and NO ONE WAITED MORE THAN MINUTES. I read other reviews before posting mine. It does not good to reach out to the customers if the service in the store remains the same."
