"Please change your policy to where you can bring sibling(s) if needed. A lot of people cannot afford childcare."
"The nurses at this hospital were with me through the hardest part of my life. They were beyond helpful and reassuring. My then month old was having severe retractions (the area around his ribs and neck were going under his ribs and you could see between each bone when he took a breath in) so I brought him in to the emergency room they looked at him and we were in a room within 3/5 minutes. They tested him for Covid, RSV & flu all negative. He was put on oxygen immediately and we were admitted within 2 hours we were put in a room and they assessed his severity and had the rapid response team see us twice because he kept declining his body was working harder and harder, each breath his chest would pull in so deep and his resting heart rate was in the ’s his normal is in the s/low s. They then sent us to the ICU and explained why (because they needed to be closer to him and more time for him) they were so polite on both floors and dealt with all of my questions and crying. Even the question of whether or not BOTH of us would leave the hospital because my body couldn’t find the courage to ask flat out if he would survive. We were in the ICU for 5 days where he went from bad to worse but they prepared me for that and told me it would happen. They prepared me for the possibility of him going on the ventilator because he came really close to needing it (he was out on the highest flow oxygen his tiny body could handle) they slowly weaned him from the oxygen sometimes having to add more back but he slowly became the happy baby I know smiling, laughing, eating and dancing. Seeing him cry and sleep not being able to nurse or eat with super swollen eyes was the worst thing I have been through! His dad could only visit because we have other sons but the nurses were so comforting, amazing, just purely outstanding. They were the light during the worst storm. I can’t give enough praise for the staff here! Nurses, X-ray, rapid, the people who specialize in breathing even the people who bring food were amazing. He got discharged the day before Halloween and they had “reverse trick or treating” where they brought costumes to each child and left a bag full of goodies/coloring pages and then nurses who were dressed up came to each door and dropped off candy. I highly recommend bringing your sick child here. Thank you so so much Nortons."
"This hospital needs a lot of improvement. The poor hospitality and the inexperienced doctors and nurses are the major problem. This is the second time we bring out daughter here and they couldn’t figure out what’s going on with her. The lack of communication is one of the problems I had experienced in here, they don’t tell me what’s going on unless I start asking questions and I had to list all the things I believe that our daughter might be sick with to ask the staff about it. They do/did all kinds of tests and still unable to tell us how, why, and what is happening to her. One of the silly things that annoyed us is the posey bed. The remote that controls the bed’s different positions didn’t work. They called the maintenance department and a guy came in to look at it. After checking it for a few minutes he said it is broken and cannot be fixed. After he left, I looked at it and I found that the remote cable doesn’t connect firmly into the port under the bed; and when I fixed it the bed started working again without any issues. “Please find & hire a better maintenance crew.” Also, how come you stay 4 nights with your kid and they don’t serve you meals. I had to leave my daughter sometimes and go outside to buy some food or wait until my wife brings me some and she cannot enter the hospital with our kids because of the pandemic rules. So many things should be fixed in this hospital before we come back to here again!!"
"Staff is WONDERFUL!!! Literally everyone we encountered was so sweet and helpful! HOWEVER....the waiting room is hands down the dirtiest thing I have ever seen. I almost left because of it! The chairs, the floor, the walls, the glass, totally disgusting. Thank God I came prepared with disinfectant wipes."
"We were told to be here at : and have been sitting in a waiting room for two hours with an extremely anxious and hungry child. Her room is not ready due to missing suction cups which we are told are in the hospital...... I'm not sure why it takes over two hours to get a piece of equipment that is actually in the hospital."
