If security or staff ask parents/guardians to remove their children when the children are being loud and disruptive, this would be the greatest location in Raleigh. Location can be very noisy. Security personnel is horrible and can be somewhat harassing. Hovering around one person working at an open computer near children books, another woman with children was sharply placing children books in her bag and then walked out. A few staff members ( not all) has revealed their racial preferences; therefore, African-American consumers may need to ask the same question to a few employees before getting results. I have stood at the counter waiting while staff finish their conversation only for them to “immediately” serve the white lady who walked up after me. That’s a problem. My complaint to the manager was pretty much brushed off. Parking is ridiculous! Otherwise, the place is a pretty good size, has a good selection, and it is clean.

This is a great local library. Large, open space. Lots of space to plug in a laptop and work. Staff is friendly and helpful. Lots of community events. Probably the only downside is that it's pretty loud in here during the day, there are lots of kids. So bring your headphones, or use on of the quiet study rooms if you really need to focus!

Love that this library has offered book rental throughout Covid and given us all the opportunity to continue to have a little bit of normalcy. I also want to give a HUGE shoutout to the security guard who stands out front - he is an absolute light and makes picking up and dropping off books an enjoyable experience! He is so kind and genuine and I really look forward to seeing him every time I come to this library!

I've been to this library three times so far. It was great, but today they had super loud live music inside of the library. It was so loud that I ended up leaving. I support local groups and schools, but I thought a library was a quiet place to study or read books. As a suggestion, maybe they can have special events after hours?
