As others have shared, reviews are pretty accurate. I highly recommend Motorcycle Safety School if you are serious about training and are ready to come prepared by being on time and wearing appropriate gear. They send a long email with instructions. Do read it thoroughly. The staff always answered my questions on the phone courteously and sufficiently. Motorcycle 101 and private lessons before the MSF BRC were helpful. If you are a complete novice, it is worthwhile so you aren't starting from scratch the day of the clinic. I worked with Dimitry S. during the 101 and private lesson. He's clear, very approachable and reassuring. I appreciated his friendliness. The instructors do not play when it comes to attentiveness and safety. With that said, they know how to put you at ease if need be. It is possible to be counseled out (two students in my group were), but everyone that made it to the second day of the BRC earned their waiver card. I appreciate Valentine's leadership, efficiency a...

Andrew (aka Yoda) and Dimitry were my instructors for my BRC licensing course. I could not have asked for a better pair of instructors. I also took a private lesson prior with Sandra. Everyone was great! ESPECIALLY Yoda, he really makes the class a fun learning enviorment! He takes all aspects of motorcycle safety seriously yet balances out having fun to keep everyone paying attention and enjoying the class.

I came here for the Basic Rider course. I have to say I have the most wonderful experience here despite how cold and rainy it was. Yoda (Andrew) and Dmitriy were my instructors. I have to say I would have never learned to ride a motorcycle safely without their advice, patience, and encouragement, especially Yoda was the best at making me feel more relax and less nervous at riding a motorcycle.

Yoda and Francisco were my instructors at the Kingsborough location and they were both amazing! They both take safety real serious but they also make sure to not feel like we are in the military and they are drill sergeants. They are strict with what needs to be but make sure to lighten the mood and not make you as nervous with their jokes and amazing charisma. They offer weekend classes, which is all the availability I had and was a bit skeptical to spend an entire two days of a weekend at first but I truly enjoyed doing this class with both of them and I did not mind losing my weekend. I also thought at first, why do we need such a long two days of classes but being in the class really assures you know the fundamentals and safety and it is well needed. The two days together make sure you are ready for the skills test and to begin riding your own motorcycle. I will be back soon for the advanced rider course for sure as you can continue to always learn. So thank you for providing this...

I did my Basic Rider Course here, and, although the location was a bit out of the way for me (especially coming all the way from Queens), it was absolutely worth it. Neville was a brilliant, empathetic instructor--he helped us learn and sharpen our skills all while making sure we didn't get too discouraged if we messed up during an exercise. I had a wonderful experience here. Getting into the campus itself for the lessons requires some extra steps for COVID verification, but once you're in, the Motorcycle Safety School branch here is fantastic. Recommended for new and experienced riders alike!

I appreciate Valentine's leadership, efficiency and coaching. If you don't pay attention, he will let you know! Ha! I would take a class or private lessons with him again. The same goes with Dimitry. If you are blessed to work with Yoda, his reputation is outstanding for a reason. I can't say enough about how impressed I was with his approach and instructional philosophy. MSS is a good investment. I looked at closer options, but they have consistently good reviews. The BRC is a bit fatiguing, especially if you have a long commute (I woke up very early in the morning, took a Lyft, LIRR, train, bus and walked to get to the campus at KCC). I intend to take a few more private lessons to practice until I purchase my first motorcycle. I also intend to take additional courses once I have several miles under my belt. Never stop learning. A final tip: check your email for the group you are in, time, instructor and parking lot. It matters and they will enforce it. The lots are in the very back, toward the water. There are no obvious signs along the way; just look for the motorcycles. Bring food and drink, dress to be outdoors all day and have fun!"

I cannot say one bad thing about this location so again, THANK YOU!!!"
