Friendly, helpful service. Comfortable dining. The food was great. It was very flavorful and prepared and served well. We got a sampler plate….the lamb was our favorite. We had three small children with us, and they were quite accommodating to the children’s requests. We’ll be back.

2nd time here. Hundredth time at an ethiopian restaurant. Street parking. Masks required indoor. Popular place, greeted by friendly staff. Ordered messob combo exclusive for 2. Delicious and authentic. About 54 dollars. More variety but few dollars more than getting 2 combo platters. Ordered whole white trout fried fish for 18 dollars. Without veggie combo. Very crispy and soft inside. Not salted but the is table salt and chili powder so good. Tej homemade honey wine delicious not strong in alcohol content i think. Large size is 25 dollars and comes in reused wine bottle 750ml. Bathrooms are clean. One toilet per gender. Staff were friendly and attentive though busy. Man who i assume was owner is funny and interacts with customers well. I wish he'd adopt me so I could laugh and eat delicious food everyday.

wanted to like this place, but service was incredibly poor. Took an hour to get our food. Every time we asked for something simple like sauce and even the check, we had to ask three times every single time. when the food came out, the portioning was very small for the $20 price tag. I probably got $10 worth of food. Anyhow, wouldn’t recommend it. Restaurant needs to work on service and upping their portion size to match their prices.

We were desperately looking for an Ethiopian restaurant in the LA area and bumped into this one and decided to give it a shot after reading positive reviews. Unfortunately, we were greatly disappointed. We were seated immediately but waited about an hour just to get our food. The sides that accompany the meat plates are served in extremely small portions so the platting looks terrible because of the tiny portions. I had some questions regarding the menu and the manager mostly dismissed them. The sambusas are delicious but everything else was just ok.

This was my first time at an Ethiopian restaurant. It was clean, comfortable, and had a nice ambiance. You really felt like you were in Ethiopia. I ordered off of the lunch menu, but the prices were still pretty high. I got doro wot, which is a chicken dish with sauce, salad, injera. For the price, the portion size wasn't big. I'm not familiar with the Ethiopian custom of eating with your hands, but it would've been nice if they brought over some silverware for those who prefer it. Also, the server was nice enough but made no extra effort. She only took the order and brought the plate over. No extra napkins, no offer for a refill, no pleasantries, etc. The food wasn't anything special and definitely not worth the price of $18.95 for what you see in the photo. It was good for the experience of trying something different, but I doubt that I'll return.
