FAQ:
"Came miles for the music; the food is so good. Have to return to try more. Definitely eat here when in Houston."
"I went there this evening for a business meeting with several people. Even had a surprise visit from the owner and his wife! GREAT atmosphere, EXCELLENT FOOD and superb service. It’s been a while since my last visit. If you are considering taking a friend or business associate here, do it!!!"
"Fabulous Irish food and general pub grub. If you're a beer drinker, you have some decisions to make. They have DOZENS of beers, plus wine and now they also have liquor and mixed drinks. Then there's the music. Sure, the "cover" charge might be $, but when was the last time you got an evening if LIVE music for under $. Can't make it to the club or they sold out? Now they are live streaming their shows for the same $. Americana, folk, country, jazz, rock, everything all mixed up, the Duck has it. Some of my faves are Bo Diddley's protege Hamilton Loomis, the Masterson's and Darden Smith. It is a small club and the most popular shows sell out fast. Join their mailing and be the first to know who's coming up. Want to check it out before plunking down $ for the live music, go one Wednesday nights for board games and Irish tunes, and the food - oh the food. My favorite is the Shepherd's Pie. No outside food or drink are allowed except birthday cakes 😅"
"TD;DR must visit, delicious authentic Irish food and decor with live music frequently. Today was my first time coming into this wonderful establishment and it was well worth the visit. I've driven past many times but should have entered much sooner. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the staff was welcoming and friendly. We had a lot of questions and the bartender was patient and knowledgeable and answered all of them. When you enter the stage is to your left and the bar is toward the back though you can't really see it from the front door. There lots of Irish history and culture lining the walls. We stopped in looking for a nice breakfast but unfortunately missed brunch. FORTUNATELY however they have a full irish breakfast on the menu all day and we jumped at the opportunity. We got a full Irish breakfast with an appetizer of some scotch eggs and let me tell you it was well worth it. Its a tradition when I travel back to ireland to get a full Irish breakfast in Dublin airport and this put me right back there fresh off the plane and with a delicious hot meal in front of me. The beans, the irish bacon, sausage, tomato and eggs were fantastic and the best and closest to an authentic Irish breakfast I've had outside of Ireland and moms kitchen. Will certainly be back and might have to make saturday breakfast a tradition here. We also got fish and chips to go but haven't tried them yet though they look delicious. Don't forget to ask for hp sauce."
"Food was delicious. The shows here vary. So they touch on all the genre's. Always a fantastic evening. Lots of good beers."
