Top notch Central Texas-style BBQ. Slightly sweet ribs with spot-on tenderness - easy to bite but didn't fall off the bone, perfectly done brisket that can stand up to the best in Texas, jalapeño cheese sausage had a great snap and perfect balance of flavor. Also, the pickles were amazing! Staff was kind, informative and open to a great chat about BBQ. Will be back.

Super delicious BBQ! Plus it’s in a really cute spot with a fire pit and outdoor seating! There is another food cart that has cocktails and beer available too! What a neat little spot! We’ll be back for sure.

My co-worker recommended Matt's to me (both in BBQ and BBQ taco form) and I finally got a chance to try out the BBQ. Well. Let me tell you. I'm from Texas (how do you know someone's from Texas? Don't worry, they'll tell you), so I have a particular kind of BBQ I like. I'm not gatekeep-y; I just am oddly picky. I also really love queso and was yet to find something here in Portland that did justice to the queso back home. We ordered the brisket, two pieces of sausage, and the pork belly burnt ends along with a chips & queso, and I dug into that one first. Y'all. Y'ALL. It tastes like home. I'm so happy my co-worker recommended this to me. The pork belly was DELICIOUS, the brisket is tender and flavorful, and the sausage is just divine. I can't wait to try the tacos one day! Hopefully soon. 5/5, would definitely recommend.

Delicious food! I was visiting from Arizona mid November for my birthday and my fiance wanted BBQ so we found this one. Delicious food, meat was literally falling off the bone. Love how peppery the beans are and the queso mac was new to me, but very much enjoyed it. The pickles were divine and im not even a big fan of pickles.

The best thing I've eaten on the west coast! Our road trip from SoCal to Seattle took us here to eat. It was incredible! I was having the big O just tasting the flavor depth of this BBQ. My partner and I walked past a restaurant on the block and he said "they might as well close with this food truck near by". You have to try the sliced brisket! Matt and David are hella nice ! Please leave a good tip 💞
