"Max Brenner Chocolate Bar is the best! After eating way too much chocolate I had the best sugar buzz ever. Food is fantastic. walking off about calories I stopped off in this little park and had the best conversation ever with Mr Lafayette. I did a lot of leaning and giggling, Mr Lafayette listed patiently as I spoke way to fast coming down from a sugar buzz. I highly recommend everyone take the time to visit Mr Lafayette. He does not say much but is wise beyond his years. Also, don't ask him to join you for another round of desserts at max Brenner. He stands solid with a definitive no."
"It is a real shame that 1) Lafayette’s statue in the Park is not more prominently displayed and accessible and 2) that you must search for it to show up on Google Maps. There are so few reminders of New York’s role in the Revolutionary War and many scholars argue it might all have been for not for our biggest French fan and his efforts to win France itself to our cause!"
