The best key cutters in the business with the friendliest staff. Been going here for locksmith and key services for years - no one does it better. Always greeted with a smile. Will absolutely return!

I had such a great experience at M&D Shapiro. They went above and beyond to help me with my project, even hand altering a piece of a lock that needed to be bigger, all free of charge. Wonderful to have a hardware store like this one in the neighborhood!

M & D Shapiro True Value Hardware Store located at 7 Great Jones Street between Broadway and Lafayette Street in NoHo, Greenwich Village, East Village and a few more hoods Is quite a Hardware store for being a Mom and Pop Shop. The staff is extremely nice and cordial even though my friend and I usually arrive 5 to 10 minutes before they close. Each and every time we went, we managed to get what was needed at five minutes to Six. The prices are within reason. I recommend this joint for many reasons to me, convenience from

The staff are great. The lady who seems to be the owner, is not (you will know when you try to return something). It’s the closest hardware store to my home so I was hoping to be a frequent customer, but the last two bags of planting soil were terribly infested - took almost a year to be completely rid of them indoors. Thought I’d only go for emergencies, but I’ve learned my lesson.

M & D Shapiro True Value Hardware Store located on 7 Great Jones Street in the Greenwich Village, NoHo and East Village neighborhoods is a tad smaller than your average Hardware store in NYC. However, it is sort of a Mom ant Pop operation. Very nice and friendly individuals manning the shop. Always a smile and a greeting for the customers. I have been here on several occasions to buy under the sink plumbing pipes, light switch wall plates and key copying. Everytime me and my handyman always walked out with what we needed.
