"Fairly disappointed. The only reason they’re getting away with using the namesake of “Chicago style deep dish” is because they put the sauce on top. Having paid $ for a medium pie with 3 toppings and not even be able to tell what toppings I got whilst eating it is obscure. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t mind eating it, taste wise. But unfortunately the - “oldest name in Chicago deep dish” (but family owned and operated in Indianapolis…?) - is not what it claims. Could it be a new employee? Some cook having a bad night? I hope so."
"I stopped by Lou Malnatis for a deep dish pizza. There is a small, free parking lot right outside the restaurant. This restaurant is family friendly. They do sell wine and liquor. As a first timer, I saw they offered thin and deep dish crusts. I ordered the small deep dish with pepperoni, bell pepper, and mushrooms. The server will serve your first slice to you. The cheese pull.../ would recommend! The pizza crust was flaky, however I would have preferred it to be slightly crisper. I found out you can ask for the crust to be well done, and that you can add butter to the crust while it's baking. I'll be doing that at my next visit. As far as the sauce, it was not too sweet or bitter. The toppings were super fresh. Lou Malnati's also gives you the option of getting lower fat cheese. Overall, it was a good experience! Bonus: The staff was very helpful and friendly."
"What a neat place. They have designed the whole decor around the old Broad Ripple Amusement Park. What a great way to honor the past and open a new location. We came on a Saturday night and got in quickly, but they were nearly full. We started with the Malnati's Salad which could be a dinner salad for 2 people or a side salad for 4. We got two pizzas; a small deep dish and a small crustless. Both were very good. I really liked the buttery crust, but I don't know if it was worth the carbs. We saw some good looking appetizers and pasta dishes delivered to other tables. I certainly will be back to try more on the menu."
"Lou Malnati's Pizzeria is located at Ferguson street on Broad Ripple and its an amazing place to satisfy your pizza cravings. Once you arrive at the location there are few parking spots in the parking lot on one side of the restaurant and than there are street parking all around it, be mindful that there are several other business around it so don't end up parking in other businesses parking spots. If you park in the restaurant parking lot and walk towards the building the is a door there and that's for pick up orders only the main entrance is on the street side. I went there on Friday evening around 7:pm and the place was crowded, this place can s sit out of customers at a time but the tables are kind of close to each other. As soon as we entered we were greeted and p person at reception took us to a table. We waited for almost minutes after seated for someone to come and take our orders or even stand us and I understand the place was crowded and every place now a days are running short on staff specially on weekends. After mins of wait we were greeted again and met our server named Diamond and she helped us through our orders. As I mentioned looked like they were short on staff but people who are working here are amazing and they try there best to make your experience worthwhile. We ordered couple of bluemoon and 3 different style of pizzaz, 2 for me and my wife and one for kids along with bread sticks and the pizza's were fresh and tasted amazing. Bread sticks were amazingly fresh and warm and the marinara sauce served with it was very very depreciation and fresh. One of the pizza's we ordered was called"Lou" a and it's a must try here, I loved it. We ended up our dinner with chocolate brownie and it was melting in the mouth and very delicious. I highly recommaned this restaurant."
"How fun is the circus theme at the Broad Ripple Lou Malnati!!! Fun fact...every Lou Malnati's has a different theme. Im not a deep dish kinda girl so I opted for the this which hit the spot with chicken sausage, a spinach blend and onion. It easily feed 2 hungry folks. Took me two days but I also had the very delicious and light brushetta. This is definitely for all ages. I can wait to come back. Oh and my server Natasha was bomb!!! I originally ordered in the carryout area but decided to have a drink and eat at the bar, she made it effortless to change my order over."
