Biggest rip off. My daughter bought me a gift certificate for 225 which she was told included tip and tax. When I called to make an appointment the girl I spoke to on the phone was extremely unhelpful and told me the prices had gone up and now the price for a 1 hour massage was 275.00 and I would have to make up the difference. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. She didn't seem to care and if you're going to rip people off for 275.00 for a 1 hour massage, at least be nice about it. Stay away from this place.

Came for a spa day and to checkout the resort. The facial was nice. The staff were helpful and nice. The grounds need better upkeep. For what they’re charging I would expect this place to be much better than it is.

Absolutely LOVE Lake Austin Spa Resort, one of my favorite experiences in Austin! The property is stunning - the whole resort sits right on the shores of Lake Austin and is totally private and exclusive. The rooms are super comfortable and beautiful, the food was amazing (love that they recently added more wine choices - amazing wine list!) - my husband and I had the best stay! Can't wait to go back!

This is an updated review from my original review a few months back. My wife and I are frequent visitors of Lake Austin Spa. We had an unsatisfactory visit when we came back at the beginning of this summer. They just seemed understaffed, the locker room was in disrepair/dirty, and the overall facilities seemed to be in a bit of a slump. Because of this, I had sent customer service an email and left a review expressing my dissatisfaction with that visit. Upon doing so, I was immediately given a call by their Executive Director who was deeply concerned about the state of things at Lake Austin Spa and asked what they could do to improve and make things right. I was so impressed with their candor, care, and concern! They made sure to take note of each item I mentioned and immediately submitted ticket orders with maintenance to address said issues. They kindly invited my wife and I back for another visit, which we graciously accepted. Upon our return, it was like a whole new place! I fe...

I booked a massage and facial with my fiancee as our first year anniversary and all seemed well. In a tremendously unfortunate turn of events we hit significant construction en route and were held up to the point where we missed almost half the time we had booked at the spa. I called well before the treatment was scheduled to begin and was told there was nothing to be done as the days schedule was filled with clients. Regrettable, but perfectly understandable. My complaint is squarely with the complete and utter indifference to the situation and lack of understanding we were greeted with upon arrival/checkout. They couldn't have cared less that this was meant to be special to us. I understand that the average client at any spa is, not exclusively but in general, someone who can afford it. That is decidedly not us. I'm a musician and it took me a month to raise the money to treat my soon-to-be-wife to a small piece of the luxury that she deserves. It was embarrassing and hugely frustra...

I felt as though my voice was heard and my thoughts were taken into consideration. Each item I noted had been addressed, the staff seemed to be more attentive and caring, the facilities were in great order! The staff even personally asked about my thoughts on the upgrades and if there was anything they could do to help make my wife and I's trip special. I was so blown away that such a large facility cared enough about a single customer's opinion to make such great changes! It really feels nice to feel heard and cared for. This type of service is a rarity these days, so it's nice to see some people know how to do business. We cannot thank the staff enough and are excited for our return visit!"

It was embarrassing and hugely frustrating to pay full price for half a service rendered, not because I have a gripe with the policy or price, but because I got a serious "your fault, screw you" feeling from the desk staff. I'm giving this one star because the treatments (the minutes of them we got to enjoy) were done by professional hands and completely worthy of every penny. They were great. The front desk has a lot to learn about how to treat people and I will not be going back. Anders"
