"Incredibly disappointing employee conduct, and the drinks & dingy atmosphere don't make it any more worthwhile (this is coming from someone who loves dive bars)! Stopped in for a quick drink Saturday night with friends and it's clear few to none of the employees cared about service. Especially not the one who PHYSICALLY SHOVED my friend out of the way to get back to his barstool. He was an off-the-clock EMPLOYEE who was drunk and practically unruly. As my friend stood innocently BEHIND the barstool while I tried to order us drinks, the guy came up and just pushed him out of the way, then proceeded to talk over my friend as he explained he wasn't trying to sit there, we were just ordering. The retort from this clown was "well I am..." Once he realized that my friend was continuing to talk to him (way more patiently than I would have, let me tell you!!) he dismissively said not to worry about it. Of course we quickly understood that you can't reason with someone who is drunk, so we walked away. Before we left (and long after the employee was no longer sitting at the bar), my friend tried to politely let the bartender know that he felt this encounter was uncalled for. Who should walk up but the same troublesome guy, vehemently demanding that he 'apologized' and my friend should let him buy a drink as a peace offering. He grew more insistent, saying he was "extending an olive branch" and that was what you were supposed to do. Only the whole time he continued to talk over my friend, until the friend had to retreat yet again. We agreed there would be no solution from him continuing to argue with the drunk employee, even though he just wanted to be heard. In the end I was more frustrated that no one he worked with had the wherewithal or courage to stop him from talking and corral him in the opposite direction. My advice: avoid!!"
"Really loved it until I got home and saw our bill. Overcharged for 2/3 drinks that were never ordered. Definitely not a spot to relax and lay low since you’ll have to double guess your bill especially with a large group of people. If you want to pay for what you actually order, visit another establishment. Do better Kaiser Tiger…"
"Very disappointing experience. Curling is not as advertised. You must make a reso ahead of time, no more than 4 people. We made a reservation for , not told only 4 could curl. Service was slow, bill could not be split, extra drinks charged, a mess all around. Details were not relayed, even speaking to manager ahead of time, basically, find any other bar to enjoy. Chicago is full of welcoming, fun, enjoyable places to spend your money."
"Took a group of old coworkers here. Got a bunch of drinks and appetizers and did some curling. Was a really fun night and a real great time. They were very accommodating as well considering our large group. Would definitely go again. Appetizers were tasty as well!"
"LITERALLY LOVE THIS PLACE so much. I come here to eat before any Bulls game, and they offer a free shuttle to the United Center which is so nice! Their pretzel with beer cheese is AMAZING and all of their sandwiches have been the best I’ve ever had. Seriously one of my favorite places in the city, never disappoints."
