I truly love this track. I grew up in the lower east side and I remember having football practice there when I was in middle school. As I got older I would run 4 to 5 miles on a daily bases. Seeing everyone from children to senior citizens still inspires me to keep running there to this very day. It's a special place that anyone can enjoy. As I'm running in the early morning hours while the sun is rising I feel as if I'm in a sanctuary. I highly recommend anyone to come for a run or a workout here.

A few years back we had a 90 degree October after a frigid few days. I took my dog for a walk. I never seen so many guys running no shirts with razor cuts all over their chests lol.

Great park but make sure you have bug spary

This is a pretty decent track...good surface for track workouts. Not as busy as other tracks in the city - folks are mainly there to run. It's by the river so it's better in the summer than other tracks and can be windier in the winter. The lights come on at night if you are lucky.
