"John Decker was the photographer for my wedding in October, , in San Francisco, and I truly could not be happier with the photos and every aspect of the service. He was originally referred to me by another photographer I had inquired with but who was booked on my date. She said she had met John in graduate school and would trust him to take her own wedding photos. Long story short, I truly can't thank her enough for the referral because John ended up being a perfect match for what I was looking for. Before I contacted him, I checked out his work online and was blown away; he has an incredibly impressive and diverse background in professional photojournalism and his portfolio was simply stunning, including a multitude of very powerful images. Yet despite all his years of experience and great talent, he is a very easy going, down to earth guy. I think I knew the first time I talked to him on the phone that he was "the one," and each interaction afterwards cemented my trust in him and my confidence in my decision to choose him. He was always incredibly responsive with all my questions both before and after the wedding, patiently answering all my questions and reassuring me that all would be fine (full disclosure: I had some major "bride brain" going on). The day of the wedding I hardly noticed he and his partner (assistant/2nd shooter) were there; he was completely flexible with going with the flow of the day, but still managed to get plenty of awesome posed shots, and he was discrete in taking tons of candid shots of us and our guests. As if awesome photos and service weren't enough, right off the bat, he offers very competitive pricing for an extremely high quality service/product. But wait, there's more; John was gave us different pricing options and offered up ideas to help us save money within his different packages! What a refreshing change from other vendors I consulted with, who continually tried to up-sell services and products! If I ever need professional photography services again, I know John will be the first number I call, and I will continue to hand out his contact information to all my bay area friends in need of a photographer. In summary: Hip, hip, hooray for John Decker!!"

"John was such a great person to work with! We initially reached out to him because we has seen photos he had taken at another wedding that was at the venue we had chosen. The images were beautiful and we couldn't wait to meet with him. During our first meeting, we discussed things we were looking for in both a photographer and in our final images. John was very receptive to our ideas and desires and offered plenty of great suggestions of his own. It was very apparent, right from the start, that he was very knowledgeable and had many years of experience, which gave me peace of mind. "My husband and I absolutely love the photos of our wedding, and so did our friends- many have ended up using him after seeing our photos. We wanted a photographer who would work with our requests for pictures of guests enjoying the day and providing a photojournalistic flare to our photos, while also giving us a few traditional wedding shots.
