Joe did an overhaul of an old grandfather’s clock for us a while back. The clock worked for a few months, then stopped. I called Joe numerous times to see if I could get him to look at it. Although I was initially upset, I heard rumors that Joe had health issues. I hope he is well, but if not or he has left to be with the Lord, our prayers are with him and his family.

My husband and I moved to Carlsbad on December 15, 2015, on December16th my husband fell walking our dog and was rushed to Scripps memorial hospital in LaJolla. Long story short he died after 13 days in ICU. We had moved from Mo. back to Ca. because of his failing health , so we brought back only favorite things from Mo. ! Bills grandfather clock was one of them. It hadn't been cleaned properly in over 20 years and the penjalum had gotten bent in the move. So before I started unpacking after being with Bill for 13 days at the hospital, I called Joe Mino to get Bills clock fixed and working. He came over that day and took all moving parts and within the week came back, put it all together , moved it to the room I wanted it in, and the clock began to work. It was like Bill was still with me. So , fast forward to May 14th 2017 when I had a friend come over last week with her 10 year old boy and he took out the key, I couldn't get it back in to open up the cabinet to wind the clock so it...

Joe came to clean and oil our grandmother clock. He had no personality. It was all business and money. After he left the clock chimes started acting up and not striking properly. We called him and he just told us it needed to be brought to the shop and completely refurbished. I spent about five minutes on it myself and it now works fine. I would strongly urge anyone to no call Joe.

My 31-year-old clock had been in storage for about 6 months, after which I moved it from Florida to California. I put the weights and pendulum back on correctly; however, it would tick for a while but would stop. I saw Joe Mino’s advertisement in the paper and gave him a call. It needed a complete cleaning, which Joe did in his shop. One of the numerals on the clockface had long ago fallen off and disappeared, and I also asked Joe if he could find a replacement. It didn’t matter for function, but a grandfather clock is all about aesthetics. Joe couldn’t find one, but he made one out of the same material using one of the other numerals as a guide. You can’t tell the difference at all. My clock now works perfectly and looks better, too. I recommend Joe’s services if you have a clock in need.

Joe took our mother's and father's tall case clock out of the moving crate and brought it back to life. We couldn't be more pleased. The clock had been in storage in New York since 2010 and had been poorly crated. The clock -- built sometime in the late 1800's -- was in disrepair. And, of course, the workings needed to be cleaned, etc. Joe did all the work himself -- from the moving to the woodwork repair to the clock maintenance. And everything was done well ahead of his original time estimate. Joe Mino is professional, expert, and efficient. We commend him for his excellent service.

He went out of his way and started his day earlier then he would have , just to help me. His charge $ .. I will always be grateful for his service and kindness. That clock means so much to me and every time it chimes I am comforted. Thank you Joe Mino!"
