"We got off the train and wanted lunch before our 4 o'clock appointment. We were in no hurry and decided on JG's. Easy walk over from the station. It was 2 p.m. and there was no one to greet/seat us, so we just walked into the bar and were told to feel free to sit anywhere. Menus and water showed up quickly, but no one came to take our order. Finally caught the eye of the bartender and she came over. She was what I'll call 'short' with us on any questions, but got our order turned in. It showed up in a reasonable time and was nice & hot........ a big plus these days. The cauliflower soup might be one of the best soups we've had. It was definitely 5-star and we are hoping they have next week when we are back. My wife's accompanying chicken salad sandwich was also excellent, served on a multi-grain bread. I had their burger & fries. Again, excellent, cooked as ordered, with what appeared to be a home-made patty. The fries were just to our liking and the mayo/malt-vinegar sauce was near perfect for both the burger & fries. We would give 5-stars for food, but only .5 for service as we had to chase down the server 3-times for more water, the bill, etc. We will go back for the food, which was terrific."

"2 dinner entrees to choose from. For such a lovely atmosphere, it is vey focused on the $ drinks. I found it interesting one drink was $ on happy hour. We just had food and some and I wasn't all that impressed with the excess amount of salt in the steak, though it was cooked perfectly and USDA Prime. Nachos were good but I wouldn't get it again. All in all I wish we had gone somewhere else. It was chosen due to its proximity to the Schuylkill park."

"This is a rating for a lunch. The food was good, but be forewarned that the menu isn't huge, and the handful of times I've been here it's been slow. Good if you want a drink and some apps, but not for a quick bite or broad menu."

"There were 3 people at the bar including myself. I waited minutes for a 2nd drink. I asked for a glass of water which was delivered when I was about to leave. The manager was behind the bar doing inventory accompanied a colleague whom was supporting her. 3 patrons at the bar with 3 employees and horrible service? I am a frequent traveler who decided to try this place and am extremely disappointed. I will not be back."

"Attended a beautiful wedding at JG Domestics recently. It was on a Saturday afternoon and the venue was beautiful. It has an incredible very of the Philadelphia skyline. The staff was very courteous, the food and drink was good. The parking was suitable. It was also an easy setup and breakdown location. We highly recommend it, but no idea of the cost."
