I tried to outreach to this agency on yesterday. I was volunteering at a community center that provides basic needs to the homeless as well as for housed individuals who may have a temporary crisis . A young man came to the front desk in a hospital gown and no shoes. He believed that he was at a shelter because the referral sheet that he had in his hand mentioned the community center and a homeless shelter, Union Gospel Mission. The Uber provide by IPS dropped this person at the community center in error. I contacted Union Gospel Mission and only faced a rude person who was not interested in this person’s plight. The person from Union Gospel Mission was not aware of the homeless person and didn’t care. I felt just devastated for the homeless person who was obviously sedated. I believe that IPS dropped the ball for sensitivity and compassion for a mentally person who was incapable of caring anhelping himself. The person was walking barefoot band it was 107 degrees in Dallas. I am able...

I had an appointment this morning at 9:10 AM. I called this morning at 8:55 AM and told them the time of my appointment and they disregarded what I said and put me on hold. I was on hold for 20+ minutes and when they returned online they told me that I wouldn’t be able to be seen because I was late for my appointment. IPS has now left me with no medicine and has also done the same thing to my fiancé. She went almost 2 weeks with them telling her that they sent the medicine and they never did. I told them today that this will be my last time getting a prescription from them when I do get it . I haven’t had very many issues with this place except for a little stuff like this. If you can’t afford it I would recommend going somewhere else and paying for your prescription. They will give you the dose that you recommend for yourself and there won’t be any issues like this.

I'm sure the clinical staff are wonderful. However, please train your office staff better. I called this morning to get a couple of forms completed for my employer. Because it was urgent, I asked to speak to someone I had already spoken to last week about my family member who is the patient. She was not friendly, had no telephone skills, told me she couldn't put me through to anyone and that I would have to fax my paperwork in. It would be completed in 2-4 weeks. When she gave me the fax number, I wrote it down, and repeated it back and guess what? It wasn't correct. So now I've lost yet another day trying to get the necessary forms completed and will cost me another days pay because I have to get these completed before I return to work. Two words. Process improvement.

The company is poorly structured. The CEO was very disrespectful and need to go back and take classes on how to communicate with their staff. A manager shouldn’t put their staff on blast with 10 other people in a zoom meeting and tell them to talk when talked too. They don’t care about their employees. The intake manager was on the clock while at the bar and would get on us for coming in 5 min late because of traffic. As I worked there current employees were complaining to me about how poorly management is. They care more about money coming in than they do the people working for them. It’s sad and this is why they’re rated 2.5 stars.

You need only go to believe The rating will become obvious once you see the environment these good and caring professionals must contend with to help people who are as ready to deal with their addictions. They can be a little curt but it's plainly clear why once past that phase nothing but true honest care and compassion. I entered their free out-patient program for opioid addiction and am clean now 2 yrs. I truly benefited from their devoted commitment to help. If you truly want help they will provide it professionally if you also act appropriately.

I am able to make a few phones to a Homeless Program who came to pick up the individual to take him to a shelter who prepared for him. There are many people who care about the work that they perform on behalf of persons who don’t have the capacity. It’s shameful when callousness and indifference shows up in the helping field. This is so troubling!!"
