"tl;dr Ilia has a gift, and if you're curious to try reiki, try it with Ilia. I went to one of Ilia's singing bowl meditations, and met one of her regular reiki clients, who heartily encouraged me to try reiki with Ilia. Now, I clearly understand why. I had a reiki session with Ilia and the experience was special in so many ways. We began the session talking about general issues in my life/ a specific career problem I'm having/ why I was seeking out reiki. I started crying during our conversation (as I often do--I FEEL EVERYTHING) and Ilia was totally not phased and was wonderfully compassionate. On to the reiki: holy moly. Ilia has a super comfortable table/bed and she makes sure you're completely comfortable/cozy. For the first few minutes of the reiki practice, I felt warm and really relaxed. Then, I drifted in and out of sleep. After the session, I felt glowing. I walked around Rittenhouse and gave every well dressed woman I saw a very specific compliment about her outfit. I felt joyous. I went home and took a nap, and woke up with newfound clarity around why I felt so "blocked." In the following days, I felt the knot of problems in my brain loosening up. I started to see new solutions and options that I hadn't seen before. It was amazing. Sound far-fetched? Try it-- it's an awesome experience."
