I made a reservation thinking this was the right thing to do so we wouldn’t have any issues but boy was I wrong. I really like the River Oaks Park sounds decided to reserve the park for my daughters 5th birthday. The party was this past weekend and needless to say this will be our first and last birthday party at a park. Our guest all has children under the age of 5 and when asked if there was a restroom we said yes but little did we know it was locked!!! So please help me understand why did we pay to reserve this space that has yellow caution tape as my back drop and no working restrooms? Very disappointed. It make more sense to arrive unannounced take the 4 deck tables and no need to pay 35$ for a reservation. Just giving those who are thinking of renting for a party a heads up.

Parks and Recreation Dept. continues its disrespectful treatment of senior basketball. Seniors have played at Fonde Rec Center for three decades. Now that the program's two advocates have retired, Parks and Recreation has returned shutting down senior basketball without announcing its plans. Yesterday, instead of closing the large partition at Fonde and having children on one side and senior basketballers on the other, Parks and Recreation turned the ENTIRE massive floor over to eight or nine children. Tough luck, seniors. Any senior who reads this complaint should contact the mayor or a city council member.

Wondering what this facility actually does???! CULINAN PARK IS A HOP AND A SKIP AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND ITS IN HORRIBLE CONDITION. THE PARK NEXT TO THIS FACILITY IS NICE. IT WOULD BE GREAT IF THEY SHOWED THE SAME ATTENTION TO OTHER PARKS NEARBY. TRASHY, OVERGROWN, NOT LIT, AND NOT POLICE PATROLLED, BREEDING GROUND FOR CRIME IS ALL THEY LEAVE US WITH. SHAME!!!! SHAME!!! SHAME!!!

I play in multiple sport leagues in the Houston area. We are constantly frustrated, by the lack of maintenance. I have played all over the nation and EVERY other city maintains their parks better and more thoroughly. You see improvements done to a park only to see them fall into disrepair. If league is paying to use a field why not at least cut the grass or level the field....people get injured this way. I will change my review once we start seeing basic maintenance being done on the fields.
