"After searching for a home to purchase in Sherman Oaks for several months we finally got an accepted offer. With a tight turn around on an inspection I had to start calling inspectors to schedule right away. I found Home Inspection Authority after a Google search and was drawn in by the overwhelming positive reviews. I decided to give the company a call to try and schedule an appt. I talked to John, he said he performs the inspections. At first he was nice and answered my questions. Then, when I wanted to know some more details about how he would inspect the property and what was included in the inspection he became rude. I asked if he used a drone to inspect the roof, if he would be able to hydro jet if his camera would not fit during the sewer inspection and if he looks inside the chimney to make some basic recommends and if he uses a robot to look under the house. At that point John accused me of not really being a homebuyer and just trying to get info on his company, then he hung up on me, honestly don’t know what to say. Trying to buy a house has been the most stressful thing I have had to do over the last few years, it was so defeating to be hung up on because he didn’t like my questions. I would steer clear of this company. Apparently asking informed questions about John’s inspection process will send him over the edge. Edited after owner response: I am not Bogus I’m a real person. You said you had availability right away, which quite honestly should have been a red flag, because every other inspector I have called since our unfortunate interaction this am is booked and barely able to squeeze me in. I said I have until next week to get in all my inspections, this is a normal timeframe since we just opened escrow. I think your rude response to both my questions this am and my review says a lot about you and the way you run your business and treat others."

He is very knowledgeable and thorough. i recently hired him for a property that had serious flooding on the property and under the house. The source of the water was very difficult to ascertain, as it was just after a heavy rainfall. John went above and beyond, in a very challenging environment. He provided a thorough visual inspection and using his specialize equipment, i was able to gain an understanding of the issues that will need to be addressed.
