Here are some reviews from our users.
"Fantastic selection of Korean/Asian American American staples. Very fresh produce and myriad small kitchen appliances and tools. Rice cookers, portable gas ranges, butane, etc. Instant Ramen nirvana! Why three stars? Everything is exceedingly overpriced and no one speaks English!!!!!"
"This has it all. For a City location, place is huge and stocked with almost all things Korean. H Mart in Suburbia will always be their bigger cousins but was pleasantly surprised by their selection and bigness."
"Wow! This place is chocked full of amazing Asian food items, treats, cooking tools, sauces, beverages, frozen foods and more! I went, looking for some candies and treats for my teenager who is into Kpop, and found a nice selection of Korean products. It's also clean and very well organized (esp for how crowded it was). Also, the lines for the register went quickly, and the cashier was very friendly and courteous. Also one employee saw my hands were full (got over enthusiastic, lol) and offered me a basket. I declined, because I was almost in line. Then a young costumer asked if he could get me a basket. What a pleasant experience."
"This store is amazing! Located in the heart of koreatown, you can find so many unique asian items you will never get bored of this place. I'm talking about all types of pocky and kit kat green tea bars, tapioca pearls with mixes to make your own bubble tea, all kinds of cool seawood snacks, dried fish snacks, jerky, cassava chips, egg crackers, the list goes on and on. There is amazing selection of sauces, kimchi, spicy mayos, condiments, hot pot aisles, noodle isles, exotic fruit isles [dragonfruit is amazing here), all kinds of pickled veggies and fresh produce. You can also find various tofu, meats for stir fry or korean dishes like bulgogi, wagyu beef, fish filets. They also have american items too like cheese, american chips, cold cuts, breads, pastas. I love their soup bases and broths, you can go as spicy as you desire. They also have decent korean body washes and skincare products! while this store can be a bit cramped, each isle is filled with so much stuff you will have a hard timing walk out of here empty handed. I like that there is also products from Japan, Vietnam Thailand! They also have lunches prepackaged like rice bowls and sushi. If you want to make sushi, you can come here and get all the ingredients you need to roll and cut from scratch. If you want to make your own hot pot, you can make your own with whatever noodle you like [buckwheat, udon, glass, ramen, Pho] or you can explore their ready make kits. The hotpot options are endless here, I'm talking about lotus root, bean sprouts, sliced pork, egg toppings. Only thing that holds me back from giving 5 stars are the prices, while some noodle kits were just dollars to serve 2 people, some other kits rang close to $. I also saw some chips were as much as $. Read prices carefully here, it seems like they may be charging more just because of the brand and where it is imported from."
"4 Stars because of how busy it gets, and the slightly marked up prices (understandably because this is in the middle of Manhattan). Great place if you're not in a position to go to the outer boroughs to the bigger H marts that are a bit cheaper, but sometimes it does get very crowded. Feels like you're waiting on line at Six Flags when you enter... but once you get past the cute snack and drinks section and get to the real Korean groceries aisles, you get some breathing room. A bit of a cheat, but if you're with someone else and know exactly what you want, get them to line up at checkout so you'll be good to go without having to go around the whole last aisle with your heavy basket. Also there is a cash only register or something similar so you can move through a bit faster if you're paying with cash!"
