"Just had a very uncomfortable experience at this HEB. Just got off of work and was still in my work clothes which includes a multi tool and a knife in it's sheath on my belt and was told by security that I wasn't allowed to come into the store because it was against HEB policy for me to have it on. I have been into over HEB since I have started carrying my tool and knife on my belt and not once has anyone ever said anything to me like this. Now I will give the security guard props because he was polite about telling me to leave, but I felt as if I was singled out because of my appearance. Especially since I noticed two other gentlemen who walked in ahead of me while I was outside putting my mask on caring very similar lives on their hips and nothing was said to them."
"Has a good many kiosks for self checkout if you just need a few items. Try HEB Picante mild, medium, hot. Medium is better than your favorite Tex-Mex restaurant & NO cilantro."
"HEB is the best grocery store. Anywhere. They have great stores and their philanthropic work in the community has huge and important impact. The HEB foundation camp allows kids to go to camp for free. Shop here. It’s a great shopping experience and ministers to our community."
"The cashier that checked me out was beyond generous and so incredibly kind. My card got declined because someone stole my info and put my account into the negative. I stepped to the side to call my bank and while I did the cashier paid for my groceries. This kind of compassion is rare to see and I burst into tears. I didn’t get her name but she was the beautiful black woman with long braids working the express lane right next to self checkout ( I think?) on 1/6/. Please HEB, give her a raise, give her a promotion, give her a bonus, give her SOMETHING. She deserves it. She genuinely cares about the customers. She is an asset to the company and the exact kind of person you want working for you."
"I can't complain about HEB. This groceries store has always had good fresh food products. Affordable for all working people. My shopping experience has always been good."
