FAQ:
"There is limited parking right by the restaurant. Only indoor seating and it is a fairly small restaurant. No social distancing and only some staff wore masks. The menu is small but everything we have tried tasted delicious! Side dishes are brought out first. We had kimchi, bean sprouts, pickled radish, cucumber, and a hot dog/onion side dish. Spicy tofu soup: not spicy but very well flavored. There is an egg in there and lots of shrimp. Comes with a bowl of purple rice. Bean paste soup(number , number 9 is the super healthy and fermented one, the smell is not for everyone): very standard taste, lots of shrimp but there wasn’t any other seafood inside. Also came with a bowl of purple rice. Shrimp fried rice: well seasoned, lots of veggies diced up and they used the healthier purple rice Rice cake and dumpling soup: refreshing and a good amount of rice cake and dumplings. Not spicy at all. All the soups came out bubbling and hot. You can request refills for the side dishes. Definitely a small local restaurant, if you are in the Lake Carolyn area I do recommend it!"
"Authentic, yes. the best Korean food, no. It was just okay. We had bbq pork and dumpling soup. It was okay, nothing to rave about. Also noticed they serve less variety side dishes for non-Korean."
"My husband and I have been going here for around 2 years, he introduced me to this wonderful place. I would crave their goat soup (yumsotang) all the time while I was pregnant during . It’s AMAZING and sometimes the only thing I wanted to eat. The owner and her son are so kind and their atmosphere is very calm and truly, family feeling (like the cute name says). I can’t stress enough, you MUST try at least once if you like Korean food, you won’t be disappointed. My husband gets yukgaejang and another beef stew usually, but their jaeyook bokkum is really delicious too. Their side dishes change here seasonally and there which we love, and does Korean food right. This is my husband and I favorite Korean restaurant… lunch rush is no joke! Try to come outside of that time, but they do well even while busy. Now we bring our baby son there too 🥰 thanks for making us feel so welcome! 💖"
"Best little family-run Korean restaurant! We have tried five different items on the menu and loved everyone. Expect an aunthentic set of Korean dishes whether it is spicy beef soup, boulgogi or a soothing bone broth. We were each given a bowl of rice and the table had an assortment of kimchi and other femerented foods. We want to go back weekly as we find the combination of warm, spicy dishes to make us feel happy and full."
"One of my favorite authentic Korean restaurants. Chicken soup (삼계탕), very special menu for today only 👍"
