"Worst place ever. They have one working elevator that is the service elevator in the back of the hotel....so that's cool until you come back at a and they say it's closed and you have to walk up 8 flights of stairs. Lots of other things too. Don't do this to yourself."

"Good place to stay for one night. I wouldn't recommend a long stay. The room was out of date. The repairs that were made was not done by professionals. There was mold around the base of the windows, the windows were not properly sealed causing condensation on the inside. The shower was subpar."

"The elevator wasnt working and that was a problem because my room was on the 7th floor. The receptionist at the desk had an attitude and the owner had to escort us up to our room in the service elevator. I have 2 bad knees and have trouble bending them so when the receptionist said the elevator's are shut down after I was livid. There were no wash clothes in the room and the window was broken. Also the tv was programmed to watch netflix and hulu, well I wasnt putting my credentials on that tv. Luckily the maintenance man was able to program it after minutes. We arrived at and didnt to bed until 1am. Its a no smoking hotel yet the marijuana smoke was extremely thick. The worst hotel stay ever"

"Rooms are not thoroughly cleaned at all. Need shower shoes just to shower. Its a non smoking facility but sheets and blankets are full of burnt holes.. You have to pay for extra toilet paper so use the first roll wisely! Heat or a/c doesn't work in certain rooms so I had to change rooms 3 times.. Elevator is always broken. The hotel manager is always getting caught creeping around peoples doors listening in for some odd reason. I had to stop someone from calling the cops on her for harassment. Had to stay there for 5 weeks until my apartment was ready. Once it was time for me to check out they didn't want to give me my deposit back. She said they went through the garbage I put out hours before I checked out and said there was evidence in the garbage bag I was smoking in the room.. room cleaned garbage out and room didn't smell like smoke yet they based that decision on GARBAGE THEY RUBBISHED THROUGH."

"The staff is great and hospitable the rooms are clean and bug free, yea its a little vintage but that what makes it a great stay. My family and I was comfortable there. For the price you pay its worth the buck. Other note I have read some bad reviews about the place and was a little uneasy at first about reserving a room. Once I got there those feelings and thoughts completely left. We enjoyed some good fun in Charlotte and slept like babies. I must add on it was quiet day and night there as well. They also have a ghost story spooky or cool ? I found that quite interesting.... The Elvis Presley also rented out the entire 8th floor multiple times when he visited the city and those rooms are also available to the public, I know how cool is that!"
