"Having a community garden is about being a better part of the community. We have a chance to contribute something healthy and much needed at Fountain Community Gardens. Who couldn't use clean healthy organic produce in their lives?!? The great thing about the garden is that it has sprung up out of nowhere and has offered so much that we benefit from. The spaces at Fountain Community Gardens are of the size where any harvest can provide an ample varied selection of organic produce for your table. I have to note that I have, on many occasions, asked to sample from other gardens (kale, tomatoe, rosemary, lemon balm, etc. - you know who you are) and everyone has been willing to share. Fountain Community Gardens and the gardeners are awesone. [visit Instagram @fountain_community_gardens and connect to the community]"
"Great place to have a garden plot and mingle with fellow green thumbs, exchange ideas and get inspired. This place is a hidden gem and it is so important to preserve these places in neighborhoods like these that get more and more gentrified and leave no space anymore between luxurious condominiums and hip shared work spaces."
"Before I thought a community garden is all about planting veggies. Never saw one in LA before. This one has lot flowers. Each person rents a bed for $ a month. Then they meet for events. Nice concept for apartment dwellers to have a garden."
"This is an awesome garden, they also have a community mi e night the first Saturday of the month."
"One of the last little secrets in East Hollywood. A beautiful community garden run by a great team of dedicated volunteers. They even host events for the community a few times a year."
