"We had someone from the water department come by to check the horrible water pressure we’ve been having. When the guy got to our house he knocked very loudly several times and also rang the doorbell which caused my dog to start barking. When I opened the door I told him I would be right back because I had to put up my dog. Once I put up my dog I went back outside and couldn’t find him until I saw that he was in his truck on his phone. I thought he was on the phone for work so I went back inside and told my sister she then when outside and stood by his truck but she didn’t want to knock on the window bc she thought it might interrupt what he was working on. She came back inside and the next time I went outside to check to see if he was off the phone he was gone. This all happens in the span of mins. Very unprofessional"

"My street had all the water meters upgraded and underground pipes redone. The city installed a temporary above ground connection without a meter, so they averaged out bill. They charged me (a 2 person household) over 2 times as much water than we have ever used even at out peak month in the past. Spoke to the water department and was basically told that they would look into it and consider changing it. It's sad to think that if I had not been looking at my bill I would have never caught this. I feel for my neighbors who don't check these things and instead get over charged because the city can just get away with it without giving any notice at all. Shameful and shady business practices when you have a monopoly on the utility service."

"Turned off the water without any notice and take hours to get it back on. (Doesn’t matter if you pay your bill right away)It’s summer in Texas, I have kids and pets, we haven’t been able to use the restroom or wash our hands let alone use any water today. It’s to bad we are forced to use these utility companies, pay multiple fees and get this kind of service.. ridiculous."

"Deceptive business practices! I cannot fathom how they continue to get away with the way they conduct business in . It blows my mind that they are charging $ + $ for a total of $ to "reactivate" service with no past due balance. Then want to charge to have their tech come out on my next bill as well. How is the Feds not doing anything about this, just looking at all the ratings posted... There's no way this is just on the people.. Someone needs to do something about Fort Worth Water's business practices. All of this because I made my payment and didn't report it, so they claimed they disconnected but didn't, and now I have to pay $+. Such a scam. Mattie Parker, do you even know this is going on???"

"These people work to scam us. Horrible customer service!! We moved in October and since then they have been "average billing" us even though we are a two person household and the previous tenants were a 5 person household. Then, we had a busted pipe and fixed the pipe so they "average billed" the month we had the leak to the next month, leaving us with a $1, water bill. It took them 3 months to fix the bill and then they only took care of %. Fine. Now, since I haven't paid the previous balance of what they JUST fixed, they're threatening to turn our service off. Seriously, the city of fort worth must be struggling hard core for money cause they're trying to pinch every penny they can with their threats. I have been over paying for water since I moved in, and they can't wait for payment on a bill that they messed up without threatening to turn off my water."
