"This is second tour I've done with Food Tours of NY (the first one was four years ago). Four years later the experience stays consistent. Marie was great. The pace and length of the tours are perfect. In addition to the great food, you get the history of the neighborhood which is just as good as the food. The tours are great not only for tourists but locals who might not have experienced the neighborhood. Looking forward to future tours."
"Had a great time on the Heart and Soul of Greenwich Village Food Tour last weekend. Chip was great. The weather was cold but the food was warm and yummy. Was full at the end and went back to a couple of the stops to shop after. Will definitely catch another tour on a future visit."
"I booked a Heart & Soul of Greenwich Village tour online, and it was very easy. They proactively reached out about food allergies so that they could make the appropriate modifications. On the day of the tour, we met our tour guide, Chip, and one other couple. Chip immediately wished my girlfriend a happy birthday, as I had indicated it on the sign-up form. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and a great story teller. He also gave the customers time to chat and get to know each other during the meals. The food itself was from small, typically family-owned, establishments. It was all so good, but the artichoke pizza really exceeded my expectations. The tour itself was mostly outdoors due to covid, and was so entertaining and informative. I was in the village the previous day and didn't think much of it, but now I'll look at it with fresh eyes. Thanks for the amazing time Foods of NY Tours, and especially Chip!"
"We booked a tour and it was easy and inexpensive for what we experienced during the tour. Our tour guide Bert James was Amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the food, and was insanely nice and conversational. If all the tour guides are as great as Bert was any of the tours would be great as the food was amazing too. Every location was delightful and delicious. I would recommend this tour to anyone going into the city."
"I cannot recommend the Original Greenwich Food Tour enough! We were running late due to the subway and missed the first stop, but we were able to call the number given to us in our confirmation email and the front office was very helpful in giving us over-the-phone directions to get directly to our group. Our tour guide, Marie, was amazing. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the area, the historical buildings, and the food. EVERYTHING that we tasted was delicious -- we wouldn't have even known to seek these restaurants out without the tour. We really enjoyed that the groups were smaller, and we met some new friends in the other members of our tour! Anyone visiting New York (or locals looking for something fun to do outside of their normal routine) should do their best to make the Greenwich Tour a priority!"
