"Now that I have experience with the El Paso I've updated my Rating. ODDLY, there is no highway signage for this VA and the Method of entry is a byzantine maze. They are being short staffed and their facility is the total pits (thanks VA). But they do try to get things done. The new Army hospital is being used as a VA auxiliary for its ER and perhaps its ICU, etc. The Problem is: you must go on to the Army base to be treated at the Army Hospital and that means entering a federal reservation where you are fully subject to military law. -- No Vet should have to surrender his/her rights to the military just to receive medical care. ---It's totalitarian."
"Best VA health care in Texas. I miss this place so much now I am in Temple TX VA and it's the worst. Literally they are responsible for some much mental destruction in my life over the past year just trying to get services."
"Please recognize Elizabeth for doing more than anyone could even expect! Glad to have this facility here in El Paso."
"Hats off with Pride in 🇺🇸 to El Paso VA healthcare for years serving us US Military veterans. I since had blessing of moving n aquiring non va health care insurance but since 3 of my step dads are Army n my mom work Austin n Castle Point, NY VA since i only have heartfelt compassion for VA healthcare ❤"
"The system and process in place at the El Paso VA Medical Center for pharmacy prescriptions is BROKEN. I was in their parking lot… on the phone for over minutes and no one answered the phone for me to inform them that I was there per their instructions and procedures that are currently in place. After their automated phone system disconnected me and called again to no avail. I went inside and I could not find anyone to assist me…so I wrote a complaint with the patient advocate office. I am sure that the pharmacy department’s senior-level management already know that this process/system is not effective and efficient—unless veterans are willing to spend hours just to say “I am here in the parking lot” and then the second stage of this process begin to fill your prescription. If senior-level management is not aware of this problem… then he/she is asleep at the wheel. There were Veterans who arrived before me and had not gotten an answer on the phone as well. And I am sure their wait time just to say I am here was even longer. I could not believe that this process or system is the best that El Paso and the United States could design for American Veterans. What a disgrace and disservice to Veterans. Leo"
