FAQ:
"This place was recommended to us by an Indonesian Uber driver who was proudly telling us about Indonesian cuisine which we never had before. It is very similar to Malaysian food, but I would say, it has a slightly stronger spice palette. We enjoyed every single thing we ordered and are putting this place at the top of list of our favorites."
"I ordered the Ice Cendol, the Braised Pork With Sweet Soy Sauce / Nasi Babi Kecap, the Special Fried Rice / Nasi Goreng Special and everything was soooo good. I was blown away by how good the cendol was, I wish I ordered 3 more cuz I just chugged it. Highly recommend. Thank you!"
"Authentic Indonesian cuisine, especially for those who have been there. Cafe design simple with traditional stuff decor and Stasiun Jakarta Kota and Monas painting on the wall. Nice ambience and friendly staff. Very patient answering any questions of details of ingredients used in the dishes."
"Awesome fresh, flavorful Indonesian at a good value. The satay ayam (chicken) was tender and flavorful. Soto betawi soup warmed us up on a rainy afternoon - tripe was fresh and not offal-y. If I had to complain, the skin of grilled fish, while excellently prepared, had a bit of a propane-y burnt flavor. I just scarfed it down and imagined eating at a stall on the side of a clogged Jakarta street."
"I ordered satay lamp, Soto betawi/ djakata beef soup, the soup was good but the beef was blended and tough. I also bought a rendang beef take out, it was bad, almost no sauce and the little bit of sauce was lack of spices. I have had many rendang beefs I know what a real good one tastes like."
