"I was baptized here in ‘. Sad to see it in disrepair."
"This old cathedral has been forgotten regarding upkeep along the front of the building. The steps need power washing and the doors need to be refinshed. The front steps are a popular area of the homeless. The reason this cathedral is called a co-cathedral because, it has a sitting Archbishop. Therefore it's a cathedral but by having a sitting Archbishop causes it to become a basilica as well."
" Wonderful site for him in the story with Jesus of Nazareth. Sitio Maravilloso para el en cuento con Jesús de Nazareth."
"This beautiful building served as the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart for Roman Catholics in Houston until the new building which was built behind it on the adjacent block, was put into service in . Outcry from parishioners and perservationists prevented the building from being demolished for parking spaces. The plan now is to demolish the Sacred Heart School instead. Hopefully, this beautiful old church and the old rectory will be saved."
"Thanks to whomever created this listing. I had no idea there even was an old cathredal that was used and shared by the Co-Arch Diocese of Galveston-Houston, i.e. the Old Building of the Co-cathedral of the sacred ❤. Not to be confused with the forner Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Group Home Inc. and its sporadically charismatic leader Henry Diocletean Obi IV."
