Are these reviews real? Calls and emails go unanswered for the past six months & the shop is always closed. Went to HI Tech Car Audio in El Cerrito for top notch install.

Did a great job with a speaker installation and were upfront with invoice. As they were doing the job, they realized they'd need more time than initially estimated but called me to check if I was ok with them spending the extra time. Finished in six hours. They stayed late so I could pick up same day. A+plus job.

Nick and Taylor have been working on my family's vehicles for over a decade now - our cars, through time, have ranged from American makes (Tesla), Japanese makes (Lexus, Toyota, Acura), and German makes (Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW). Every project, whether big (e.g. wiring in a bluetooth/iPhone kit to a 2006 Porsche) or small (e.g. hardwiring my radar detector on a brand new 2021 Supra) they take on with no hesitation. And we are always beyond happy with the quality of the work done. For example, on the bluetooth/iPhone kit (Dension unit) done on our '06 Cayenne they were able to have my original OEM headunit work with steering wheels controls kept! For my radar detector (Uniden R7), they found a super discrete mirror mount and a great place to mount the external mute/function box! The best part is that they walk you through what they plan to do so that you can provide feedback before anything is done - I personally have loved that because they also let me know why some of my initial...

My car stereo has ben evolving over years as I've upgraded parts and spanned over a few cars with these guys. Most recently I made a couple big upgrades that has left me with the sound I've been chasing my whole life! The new owner has been great, honored work done with the prior owner, and handled some issues that came up that were out of his control like a professional that deserves repeat business.

These guys are busy for a reason. They're experts at their craft and love what they do. Even more, they work for ensuring the customer leaves satisfied. My install was on a newer car, 2019 Ford Fusion, which had an interesting communication bus that required an aftermarket radio to have an upgrade to the HVAC system. During the first couple weeks of driving it, I called them about a bass knob, an issue with the voice controls, an the HVAC fans. When I couldn't reprogram a spare key, I called them and Taylor and his crew at City Car Radio took care of it all. They offered me a replacement rental. They offered me a refund for the spare key programming. They even took the car and coordinated programming the spare key with the dealership on their own. When I picked up the car today, I couldn't have been happier with the sound, the craftsmanship, the professionalism, and respect given even when at times frustrations came up. City Car Radio has my 100% endorsement and recommendation...
