Good grocery with quality products, usually busy, but A) you’re in the West Village so that’s to be expected and B) the employees are fast and diligent so things move quickly.

This is my absolute favorite grocery store! They have lots of healthy options, premade options (which are great for people like me who don't always have time to cook), and just overall good food. Their cheese is delicious. They have great meats. And they have a lot of vegan options too. It's easy to go there and eat healthy, but not feel like you're eating cardboard. They still have tasty food. And they have quick checkouts which is nice too!

Have to share a very bad experience I had with an online order. First, the person responsible for online order fulfillment was nowhere to be found and I was waiting for about 15 minutes on an otherwise slow day (no line for checkout). Then I was told the product wasn’t available, but they didn’t contact me and didn’t refund the payment either. They will in x business days, but If they have issues fulfilling they should not charge the payment method until they are sure they have inventory. Anyway, I trekked over from Brooklyn and had to buy a substitute that I could have found closer to me, for a much better price, so this entire episode was a waste of almost two hours.

Honestly, the worst set up of any of the Citarella stores. I love these markets for there superior meat selection and their amazing staff. Truly, Citarella hires the most helpful, kind staff members, I don't know how they do it! Hopefully, they pay their employees well because no other store in the city seems to be able to duplicate their hiring practices. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 BUT , Please fix the set up in this store, it's broken. Most of the customers are Rude, Entitled Aholes (not that you can do anything about that, it's the mentality of folks who can afford Citarella, in that area) If the set up was better the REA's wouldn't be in the way and need to be tolerated by normal folks😏😊👍🏻
