FAQ:
"Callie is a beautiful restaurant! Very inviting! First off, they have a parking garage with free 3 hour parking with validation, always a big plus downtown. The drinks are tasty, try the blood ritual or the espresso martini. For food, we ordered the Mediterranean Feast so we could sample around the menu. I really enjoyed the dip sampler, I love the avocado labneh. Also, the Aleppo chicken is super tender and tasty. The pavlova dessert is a win, yum. Service was excellent as well!"
"Wow, what a fantastic meal. We ordered a bit of everything and were not disappointed; everything was amazing. I especially loved the chicken entree; the spice rub on it was so unique and delicious. Book many weeks in advance to get a reservation. I'll be going back 🥰"
"I had high expectations for this restaurant, but the 5 course menu was underwhelming. The carrot was super acidic. The chicken was cooked properly but it was very over seasoned, we couldn’t taste anything else on the dish. The hamachi was good, but missing components (you’re paying top dollar for a dish, it better be worth every bite). And last but not least the pasta dish, terrible. Sauce was bland, pasta undercooked, filling was super basic. Service was great but the overall experience did not match for what we paid. Would not recommend the 5 course meal, there’s no progression to every course, no story behind. I wonder how this place made to Michelin guide, long way to go…"
"What an incredible dining experience! My friend and I enjoyed some of the standouts on their menu like the octopus, babaganoush and Japanese Kanpachi and finished our meal off with the pavlova topped with pistachio floss (it’s like fancy cotton candy). The service and cocktails were amazing too! Highly recommend and will definitely be back next time I’m in San Diego."
"Incredible experience. Service was personable and knowledgeable and food was excellent. Our family ordered and bunch and shared the dishes, but the clear favorite at the table was the caviar on roasted bursts and the beets on whipped feta. Those two are just-try’s."
