"I am a student at Cal Air with .8 hours to date. I highly recommend them. If you want to try them out before committing, they offer introductory flight lessons that will take you on a “Bay Tour” that will take you over the Golden Gate Bridge, and introduce you to basic maneuvers and procedures. My instructor is Quincy, but I have also flown with Damien. Both are fantastic airmen and teachers. I have not flown with Ian, or any of the other instructors, but they and the other Cal Air employees are extremely friendly and helpful. Both are great, I prefer the S and SPs, but I have also flown the “N” and “P” s and found them to be fantastic aircraft. Unfortunately, I cannot yet vouch for the s (which I am too bulky to fit in comfortably), nor the , and either Piper, as they are beyond my skill level (so far). However, I see them undergo regular maintenance and am extremely confident that they are excellent as well. DISCLOSURE: While Cal Air is a customer of the FBO that I work for, I HAVE NOT been paid for, or been asked to write this review. I am writing this review because I personally support this flight school."
"Great experience to cruise over the Bay Area. Sight seeing and learning to fly is fun. Memories to last a lifetime."
"Great, well run facility with nice, well maintained equipment."
"My CFII brought me here from another club because of Cal Airways' unbelievable deal on three simulators (G, G and G). They also have friendly, helpful and knowledgeable instructors, and great planes. The sim deal is unlimited use for three months and you can go in alone without an instructor. Had I known about this when I started my instrument training elsewhere, I would have definitely done all of my instrument training with, not just use the sims. Great place to also hang out and chat about flying with others."
"Highly recommend."
