"Adrian my service advisor was extremely helpful in assisting me with a check engine light on my car. I was miles from home when light went on. He was able to have a technician evaluate car on the same day. I was given an estimate of over $1,. dollars. I called the dealer that had done work on the car a few days prior. My local dealer discussed with the service manager at BMW of San Diego what the issues were. I received a call from my local BMW dealer telling me they would approve around $. for tightening clamps local dealer had left loose. The local dealer said he would evaluate other recommendations when I was able to take car to them. Upon my return, local dealer check out my car and indicated no additional work was needed. I question in my mind how the technician in San Diego recommended over $. of work that the local dealer said was not needed. Makes me wonder why the large difference between dealers. Car is running fine at this time. What am I missing?"
