FAQ:
"First come first serve, ones you take everything off ( straps and tarp ) they’ll unload you fast…"
"Needed a certain type of foam insulation for a building project and a neighbor recommended Beacon Building (Allied). Initially, the guy at Beacon was great — very helpful and courteous, figuring out how much to order, etc. I was told that any extra materials could be returned, “just give us a call”. Once the order was placed, the struggles began — he consistently over promised and under delivered. On the expected delivery day, nothing arrived. After several phone calls by me and empty promises by Beacon, the delivery arrived a week late and it was the wrong product. I called and asked that a truck bring the right stuff and pick up the wrong stuff — that was done fairly quickly and efficiently. Once that portion of our building project was complete, we found ourselves with 3 extra pallets of material. I called to arrange pickup and return. Again, over promise, under deliver. Over the course of about 5 weeks of MANY phone calls by me and several promised pickups by Beacon, the materials still sat waiting. I started asking for the branch manager and although I never spoke to the manager, the materials FINALLY were picked up. Also, I had to ask repeatedly for an invoice of all materials and transactions to be sent via email. BTW — I always spoke with the same person at Beacon, so there couldn’t have been anything ‘lost in translation’. During the whole process, I left multiple messages for this person and always had to follow up as he did not return my calls. Apparently, the focus is on sales and not customer service. During our building project, this has been the biggest headache. Had I not persisted in keeping Beacon to their word, the extra pallets would still be sitting under the pines ($+ worth, BTW). It was a nightmare. Recommend you go elsewhere for building products!!"
"Allied building products is the most professional place especially Jesey Frank's. Thank you jessey"
"On the one hand, they are extremely convenient to purchase from. On the other, My shipments are either so early they dump it on the side of the building (I've had plenty of thefts, damage to my property and the clients, and even had to clean up busy roads), or so late I have to rent an extra crane/lift to get the material up. I'd say this is probably about 1 in 3 trips i have issues with either: Wrong brand Wrong material (epdm vs tpo) bad delivery damaged or expired goods soaked and rotted polyiso"
"Picked up some commercial roofing material. Employees were very helpful in getting material and loaded into car (very tight fight). Very appreciative of their effort."
