"This is a fantastic building to live in, with a stunning rooftop, amazing gym and wonderful staff. Tawnya, Simone, Jessica, Ayanna - all lovely ladies who answer questions quickly and ensure that all residents have what they need. I really appreciate the community events, the cleanliness of common areas and the security of the building. The apartments are gorgeous with all new appliances and in-unit washer/dryers. Only negative is that the walls are a bit thin - but that's a very normal consideration one should recognize when choosing to live in an apartment building. Highly recommend the Arcade Sunshine community!"
"It's been a good experience so far. I have been in my studio for a little a year and a half now. The office staff is great. They're very friendly people. The studio is a good sign for one person. I wish I had mad more natural light but hey it is what is for now. I amenities are pretty modern too. The common area is great for hosting small gatherings. That has been a lifesaver if I don't want people crammed in my studio. It even has multiple TV monitors. It'd be nice if the gym has a couple more benches so that the weight area doesn't get crowded but that's not that big of a deal. Glad that there's a gym"
"DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! The unit will be decent, the amenities will be comparable to most gentrified apartment communities, and they will have a lot of vacant units to show you (turnover is heavy) but IT'S NOT WORTH IT - your experience with management will range from nonexistent (because they just won't respond to you, e.g., professional ghosting) or horrible (the property manager is prone to lying and the assembled team is unprofessional on a good day). If you identify as Black, again, don't be fooled - "all skin folk, ain't kin folk". The front office staff will code switch and do their shuck and jive routine to get you to sign a lease and maintain the same energy for white residents, but you'll be lucky if you get the bare minimum - it's more likely that they'll look right through you once you've signed your lease, insert themselves into your personal business, and/or gaslight you if you have any expectation of professionalism. They've fired one property manager and have had heavy staff turnover since I lived here, but the issues with management persist - it is systemic to Steelhead Management as higher ups won't respond either (luckily, they only have two (2) properties in DC and are easily avoidable). Again, save your time, don't even tour here and whatever you do, DO NOT MOVE HERE!"
"I've lived here for about 7 months and I am so so happy with my decision. The neighborhood is amazing and a great location in the city. One major selling point was the front office, Andrea and the team are exceptional and professional and they've always been so helpful. Happy to call Arcade Sunshine home."
"I've lived at Arcade for about months, and its been an awesome experience for our first stint in DC. Moving from out of town during the pandemic was already stressful, but the leasing staff made our decision a breeze with their response times and virtual tour options. Amazing community, lots of great amenities (the deck has an awesome view), and a very clean modern building. Management, concierge and security have all been hyper responsive to us and are always giving a wave or hello and we've never had to wait long for maintenance or any help. I've lived in a few buildings, and the front office at Arcade Sunshine definitely offers a responsive and responsible front end that sets realistic timelines and works with you to find solutions that work to keep you comfortable. Community is a wide mix of folks but mostly business professionals - lots of friendly faces, and while there is a lot of activity, we've never had issues with noises. The neighborhood is fun - it is out of downtown but still in the city, so you avoid some of the traffic but there are still some neighborhood spots to eat and drink. Every hot spot is walkable - Adams Morgan is minutes away, Malcom X park is minutes, Rock Creek is a minute walk, etc. There is a little bit of chaos that can trickle in but nothing out of the ordinary if you have lived in a city. The security definitely helps keep the building secure. Parking is amazing - underground protected reserved spaces! Lots of friendly dogs with a great dog wash."
