"I’ve been attending Action Karate Mt. Airy for almost four years now, and I can genuinely say I still look forward to being there a few times each and every week. This is a warm, open, kid-friendly space, where fun and enthusiasm is apparent the moment you walk in the door. The space is colorful and welcoming, the instructors skilled, knowledgeable, fun and funny; the classes are always a challenging, but truly engaging and rewarding workout experience. I would tell anyone who wants to begin their karate journey that this is a place where people of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds can come to learn, grow, laugh and become skilled martial artists."

"Going to Action Karate has been great for the kids - and for me! My oldest daughter improved her self-confidence and coordination. My youngest saw improved discipline and self-control. And I've been taking classes too. Even an out of shape yo was welcome and I lost weight and improved my conditioning. "Everyone please pay attention, gonna make this quick. My experience with this place has been and is AWESOME now. The people here are very welcoming when you enter and knowledgeable of everything they speak on. Wanted the kids to attend an activity and walked into Action karate, got started and now the whole family is here. My kids can't wait to get there and they don't want to leave, that's how much they enjoy it. "Hey kids Dad's hungry and ready ta eat" that's me talking - but hey, they're appetite is big too and they are feeding it by doing something positive they want to, being at AKMA. Life Changing !!!! And he feels good, confident and loves who he is. They have taught me to do the same thing, to have more confidence in my children's abilities and decisions beyond what I think they can do. Also my health has improved since I've started attending ( weight wise and an injury issue) and they have been helping me reach my goal which is to become a better me. "Action Karate is an amazing place for children/ teens/ and adults! Not only do they teach self defense and techniques- but within each class they spend time discussing/ teaching what makes honorable character within oneself, self esteem, confidence, and overall positive self image. My year old is very timid and not one to stand up for herself but with this class she’s more confident in her voice and aware of how to defend herself. I feel a lot better about her handling middle school due to this class then I did before she started. And they have competitions with other school in which my kid participated and who 1st and 3rd place!!!"
