1618 has tasty food, a gourmet-like atmosphere, and very nice, accommodating service. As a first-time customer, I was easily blown away by the duck skewers and pork dimsum. Both dishes were great starters. I highly recommend any of the sirloin steak items which were flavorful, tender, and perfectly portioned. The menu items seemed almost gourmet, given the price, but not too pricey to be ridiculous. Upon entering, both the indoor and outdoor seating areas had the perfect date-like atmosphere. Overall, 1618 offers a fairly fancy eating experience and even has live music which is a plus for me personally. Our waitress was very nice and quick to attend to us. Even though we were unsatisfied with the coconut fried rice we ordered, the 1618 manager and waitress accommodated to the disappointment. The waitress took back the fried rice and the feedback with understanding. We ordered some pho instead and the kitchen was very fast to make the dish. The manager remover the coconut fried rice...

The ambiance was perfect, the staff were very friendly, and the food was just delicious. A bit pricey but definitely worth it for either a date or eating out with friends. Highly recommend the 5 sampler appetizer, you get to try a good amount of food. The soup dumplings were amazing as well and if you want to treat yourself, definitely get the Whole Peking Duck, it was so juicy and flavorful. Overall great experience, will definitely be coming back.

It was just okay. The sauce on the whole fried red snapper was too sweet for our liking. The dip with the calamari was salty. Looks like they use tap water with their soda machine. My drink with a splash of club soda had a chlorine smell which was a turnoff. One of those "been there, done that" places which was on our list of popular Austin restaurants to try out.

Amazing food. Amazing ambiance. Just a bit pricey. Wudnt go there for a casual weekday dinner but definitely the place for dates. Had half an hour wait Monday evening without reservation. The food tastes very authentic and flavorful. The sugar cane skewers were different and really good. Rest of the items and drinks were very good too. Chicken Dumplings were the only ordinary things.

Amazing - fresh perfectly cooked food, extensive selection/menu, great service, nice staff, very clean and organized. Parking was easy (free) and the location was safe and easy to get to. This was our first time there, but it will not be the last. Thomas was our server, and he was great. Very happy with the meal, people and there was even a singer that started around 7:00 pm. We will be going back soon.

The manager remover the coconut fried rice from the check and even gave us a $ gift card, encouraging us to come back. Overall, is a great place to impress a date and offers a fancy atmosphere while serving delicious Asian flavors!"
